Michael Schwartz, MD, is a cosmetic surgeon and board-certified facial plastic surgeon with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He offers his advanced skills to patients in Pasadena, California, and the greater Los Angeles area at Pasadena Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Schwartz’s mission is to address the goals of the individual while achieving results that look natural, without any telltale signs of surgery. He tailors every procedure to the personal needs of the patient and incorporates the meticulous closure techniques of facial plastic surgery into all breast and body procedures. After earning a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, Dr. Schwartz received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He then completed a two-year residency in internal medicine at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. He went on to complete a five-year fellowship in otolaryngology, head, and neck surgery at USC.

Dr. Schwartz was one of the first cosmetic surgeons to study and perform the tumescent technique of liposuction and liposculpture in Los Angeles in the 1990s, and was also a pioneer of the Smartlipo laser. He has continued to complete advanced training in VASER Hi-Def Liposuction, as well as cosmetic procedures such as breast surgery and cutting-edge techniques for abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) procedures.

Dr. Schwartz is a diplomate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and holds membership in numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He’s certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology.
